It’s been long in coming and many protracted hard days of work but we are finally at a place where Charles Henderson Animal Rescue is open for business and has begun the process of rescuing, sheltering and rehoming unwanted and neglected dogs and cats. In the past 3 weeks since we “kinda” started getting things in order, Charles Henderson Animal Rescue has rescued and rehomed 20 dogs already.Charles Henderson Animal Rescue is listed and recognized by the State of New York as a non profit corporation as well as a 501c3 not for profit charity organization with the IRS. Additionally Charles Henderson Animal Rescue has been registered and approved. The Rescue Society, the formal and registered name of the non-profit, is doing business as Charles Henderson Animal Rescue and is classified as a “humane society”.
We still have along way to go and many more projects ahead that we need to productively execute however we have begun the process of rescuing and rehoming animals. We are inundated daily with so many calls from people that have found or want to surrender their dogs and cats. Every other call all day long is about kittens that people find all over the streets of Brooklyn and throughout New York City.
Charles Henderson Animal Rescue has identified a great building and we are just awaiting some last minute details before we open the doors. The building space, the area and the neighborhood are ideal, perfect and exceptionally amazing for an animal rescue shelter and adoption center in Brooklyn, New York. We are very excited about the situation and are eager to begin the next phase of the operation, namely getting the doors of the brick & mortar shelter & adoption center open. We can’t get Charles Henderson Animal Rescue open fast enough!!! Everyday wonderful cats & amazing dogs are needlessly dying.
We need your help. Charles Henderson Animal Rescue needs money to help open & operate Charles Henderson Animal Rescue and your donations add up and help significantly. We don’t need millions or even 100’s of 1000’s of dollars (although that’d be really nice!) but anything that you can contribute helps. $10, $20, $50 really helps us do what we do so please consider a donation towards our cause and make an impact directly by helping the animals and the animal rescue shelter at Charles Henderson Animal Rescue. Please help us and join us in our crusade to curb the shameful wholesale slaughter of 3-4millions of dogs and twice that many cats a year in the United States.
Your donations would help us get more kennels, install a new ventilation system for the dogs and cats and provide additional medical services to needy animals. The no kill shelter which serves Brooklyn and the 5 boroughs of New York City, relies heavily on volunteers and private donations to carry on the mission of caring for animals and helping them find permanent forever homes. Running a shelter where you are attempting to rescue lots of dogs & cats can be expensive. Your help is our lifeblood that keeps us saving, sheltering and securing permanent forever homes for these precious but helpless cats & dogs.
