LOLA---CHIHUAHUA
Lola is a middle aged and completely ‘dependent’ first daughter of Chucky and Sophie. She likes to sleep a lot but when she’s awake, it’s all about her. She usually wakes me up in the morning by coming out from under the covers to ask for a scratch by rolling over and over. She is a princess and loves to perch atop a pillow on the couch to survey her realm. She is thin and fit. She needs training on a leash as she’s not great with it. Her teeth need work. She’s currently not spayed but will be spayed before she goes home to her new adopter. She is trained to use a wee‐wee pad. She tends to get very excited at times and run frantically around the apartment and then spins around several times before starting it all over again. She loves to lick and will do so until you ask her to stop. She has never been socialized with other dogs but I believe she has the capacity to learn to be around others. Her exposure to strangers tends to result in a lot of barking. I’ve never seen her attack another person or animal. I love Lola dearly. It has become incredibly difficult for me to care for her, her brother and her parents. It pains me greatly to have to have them adopted, but I also know she needs a higher quality of life than I can provide. If I had a wish for her adoption it would be that she be adopted with her brother, Tiger.
They have been together all their lives and although I believe they would survive without each other, I think there will be a definite period of separation anxiety and pain. She needs someone to exercise her more, indulge her desire for attention, and love her. She will return the favor with zeal and earnest, unconditional love.
Lola is spayed, dewormed, treated to prevent fleas & ticks and is up to date with all her vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $300 and she'll get a free basic exam at one of our participating vet's offices. If you'd like to adopt Lola, please email us at: charles@charleshendersonanimalrescue.org
