Adopt a Pet :: TIGER - Brooklyn, NY - Chihuahua

Adopt a Pet :: TIGER - Brooklyn, NY - Chihuahua

TIGER---CHIHUAHUA---MALE---7 YRS

Tiger is a middle aged somewhat independent and lovable rollypolly first son of Sophie and Chucky.  Like his father, he likes to chill out in a sunbeam in the morning. He is strangely dependent on your approval. For example, when walking along he’ll often turn around and look at you and ‘ask’ if it’s ok to continue. I always said yes. He is in good shape and neutered. His teeth need work. He is trained to use a wee-wee pad. He loves a warm bath, but even more than that, he loves being dried off with a thick towel; it’s guaranteed to make him snort with pleasure repeatedly. His personality is timid. He takes a bit after his mom, Sophie, that way. He often plays second fiddle to his sister, Lola. Once he warms up to you, he loves to sit on your lap or between your legs. He likes
monitoring your whereabouts and will often times follow you around and hang out and watch what you’re doing. He was never socialized with other dogs but I believe he has the capacity to learn to be around others. He tends to get excited around new people and dogs and he’ll bark. I’ve only seen him snap at people defensively. He has never attacked another person or animal.
Tiger is very special to me. He and I have bonded many a late night hanging out on the couch. It has become incredibly difficult for me to care for him, his sister and parents. Saying goodbye to Tiger will be so hard for me, but if he’s going to a good place then it’s for the best. My wish for Tiger would be that he is adopted with his sister, Lola. They have been together all their lives and I feel he would suffer the most with respect to a separation. He also needs a much higher quality of life than I can provide. He
needs someone to exercise him more, give him more comfort and love him. He will give back all of it and more.

Tiger is neutered, dewormed, treated to prevent fleas & ticks and is up to date with all his vaccinations.  His adoption fee is $300 and he'll get a free basic exam at one of our participating vet's offices. If you'd like to adopt Tiger, please email us at: charles@charleshendersonanimalrescue.org

Charles Henderson Animal Rescue is open every day from 12pm to 7pm.  Tiger is an awesome, energetic and great dog that needs a great owner. Will you be that family or person?
